“Perennial Ice, Millennium Water” Canadian AQUAGOLD International became International Cooperation Partner of DEVNET Pavilion

On September 21, 2009, International Development Information Network Association Pavilion of Expo 2010 (DEVNET Pavilion) and AQUAGOLD International signed Agreement of “International Partnership Interactive Enterprise” in Yan’an Hotel in Shanghai.

Henceforth, AQUAGOLD International became international partner of DEVNET Pavilion. Attendees to the signing ceremony include general commissioner of DEVNET Pavilion Mr. Gao Guoqiang, executive director of DEVNET Pavilion Mr. Li Shien, CEO of AQUAGOLD International Mr. Domingo, AQUAGOLD director in Shanghai Mr. Mark, and CEO of AQUAGOLD Investment Co., Ltd.

Soon after the signing ceremony, general commissioner Mr. Gao Guoqiang extended appreciation to guests at presence, and introduced basic information about preparation situation of DEVNET Pavilion.

Mr. Gao explained to the foreign friends that the Canadian people, government and community have a long and admirable tradition in the promotion of international humanitarianism and charitable deeds. As early as the Sino-Japanese War period, Dr. Norman Bethune travelled a long way to China and devoted his life to China’s cause. His spirit of international charities is still deeply appreciated by Chinese people. Therefore, DEVNET, as an international organization, shall establish a charitable gold Monument for Dr. Bethune on the Charitable Starlight Street of DEVNET Pavilion during the 2010 World Expo, earnestly hoping to carry forward Mr. Bethune’s great spirit of internationalism.

Mr. Gao then quoted a famous old Chinese saying, “If you receive kindness as little as one drop of water from others, you should reward them with as much as a spring of water”. He proposed then and there that visitors to the Expo should drink the spring water from Dr. Bethune’s homeland, so as to cherish our memory of Dr. Bethune. Then he introduced the five glaze columns at the gate of DEVNET Pavilion, one of which would be filled with spring water from North-America. Combining with high and new technology, DEVNET Pavilion shall display letters and characters of different countries in the form of water in the columns, indicating world communication and harmonious integration. This is not only to show support and encouragement to AQUAGOLD International, but also the long and deep languish for Dr. Bethune. This initiative won warm applause from guests at present.

DEVNET organization places devout wishes and hopes for the development and growth of AQUAGOLD International in China, and earnestly wishes that AQUAGOLD International would innovate actively and establish their brand through close cooperation with DEVNET---an executing agency of the United Nations Development Program by seizing the opportunity of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

Combining with “Millennium Activities” relating to the United Nations Development Goals in DEVNET Pavilion, AQUAGOLD would strive to win the honor of “Perennial Ice, Millennium Water”.

Mr. Domingo, CEO of AQUAGOLD International extended his welcome to guests and indicated that AQUAGOLD International shall develop close cooperation with DEVNET Pavilion and strive to make DEVNET Pavilion one of the most excellent pavilions of 2010 Shanghai World expo.
