Introductory Meeting of DEVNET Pavilion held in Nagoya, Japan

On August 3rd, 2009, an introductory meeting was held successfullt in Nagoya Chubu University particularly for Japanese small and medium-sized companies by General representative of DEVNET Pavilion Mr. Gao Guoqiang, executive director Mr. Li Shien and other representatives. Over 80 Japanese companies attended the introductory meeting. Focusing on cooperation of international projects and promotion of high and new technology, a wide communication was carried out with local companies. This meeting received strong support from DEVNET JAD Japanese Association of DEVNET (JAD) and Nagoya Chubu University.

The introductory meeting began with Mr. Watanabe Makoto, professor of Nagoya Chubu University. He first extended warm welcome to Mr. Gao Guoqiang and his group in the name of enterprise representatives and Nagoya Chubu University. He expressed his willingness to start high level cooperation with DEVNET in a broader way by combining their own teaching advantages in subjects, so as to turn their science projects to actual production capability and further promote progress and development of human society.

Later, General representative of DEVNET Pavilion Mr. Gao Guoqiang delievered a speech. After expressing his appreciation to Nagoya Chubu University for their hospitality, he gave a brief introduction on the basic information and preparation progress of DEVNET Pavilion as well as the difference between Shanghai World Expo and Aichi Expo. According to him, Shanghai World Expo is expected to receive 70 million visitors from all over the world, with a per capita expense of 1,500 RMB. These data exceeded the record of Aichi Expo to a great extent. The exhibiting theme of DEVNET Pavilion would be “City Emergency Relief and Harmonious Life”. To incoporate with this theme, DEVNET Pavilion would demonstrate a series of theme forums, seminars and display activities.

Then Mr. Gao introduced some high and new technology projects which had been settled in China through DEVNET. He indicated that the World Expo would be a grand event which would bring economic development and social progress not only to China, but also to the countries and areas around China. He wished Japanese companies would also break through normal rules and conforms, grip this great opportunity and display their newest technology, advanced programs, company culture and company philosophy to DEVNET Pavilion of Expo 2010, find more cooperation opportunities and have these projects settled, developed and expanded in China.

Finally, Mr. Li Shien, executive director of DEVNET Pavilion delievered a speech. He expressed his appreciation to participating company representatives, and invited them to visit, participated and exhibit in DEVNET Pavilion.

JAD councilor Mr. Uno E Shokichi and senator member of Aichi Mr. Yoneda Nobuyuki participated and delievered speeches as well.

On August 5th , 2009, general representative Mr. Gao Guoqiang, executive director Mr. Li Shien visited Economy and Industry Department of Nagoya with the introduction of JAD councilor Mr. Uno E Shokichi.
