DEVNET Pavilion in “Shanghai Expo----Shopping During Breaks”

With the drawing near of 2010 Shanghai World Expo, people’s concern on the World Expo grows continously day by day. Stepping into the World Expo, visitors can not only experience all kinds of custom and culture and have a taste of different humanity around the world, but also enjoy the vivid feeling of shopping in different countries around the world. To provide visitors enough information on the “treasure” to be shown before the expo, “Shanghai Expo” specially presented the article “Shopping During Breaks”.

The article introduced the “Japanese Street” and “Western Street” in detail.

“DEVNET,which has always taken the responsibility of transfering global development information, has also designed part of the pavilion into two shopping streets: “Japanese Street” with Asian flavor and “Western Street” with European flavor, with assembly of gifts and souvenirs on culture, science and daily life. Visitors shall feel as casual and relaxed as doing “window-shopping” while strolling in the pavilion. It is not difficult to infer that the experience of international life is closely tied to the handbags in visitors’ hands.”

It is also mentioned that during the global tour in the expo site, visitors could not only take photos of the expo sight, but also take away the flavor of local conditions and cultoms. Meanwhile, as a global tour without stepping out of Shanghai, there will be shopping area around the exhibiting site, which provides gifts and souvenirs all over the world for visitors to select. These merchandise might not be expensive, but they are after fine and thorough selection and represent the best local flavor, which makes you could not help but slow down your pace.

Among the pavilions, the African Union Pavilion is just like a coverall cosmopolitan market with variety of souvenirs from different countries which radiates strong African flavor, such as cookwares, masks, woodcarves, stonecarves, dolls, calico, hand-waving and traditional clothes, etc. With its fame as “Paradise for Shopping”, the European has its pavilion surround with goods and works of art with full flavor and characteristics of Florance, delicate and extravagant articles of luxury around the end of Paris street, as well as Netheland Shops with unique style and strong personality.

“Asia, Oceania and America will also cherish the opportunity to present good products to visitors from the world. They have delivered here products that can best represent their reprentative features.

With so many rare goods from different countries, you can hardly resist the temptation to take one as your own storage, be it popular or classic; humane or natural”. During shopping, you may view the natural beauty, urban culture and local custom as well.”
