Meeting on Expo Project between DEVNET Pavilion and Cangnan County

On May 12th, 2009, a meeting was held between International Development Information Network Association Pavilion of Expo 2010 (DEVNET Pavilion) and Cangnan county. Mr. Gao Guoqiang, general representative of DEVNET Pavilion and director of DEVNET Affairs Coordination Bureau, together with Mr. Li Shien, executive director of DEVNET Pavilion and vice director of DEVNET Bureau discussed matters with government leaders of Cangnan County on cooperation and other related issues on liquid glass project of World Expo.

Mr. Gao Guoqiang first extended his welcome to Mr. Huang Shoulong, County Mayor of Cangnan, for sparing no effort and taking the time to Shanghai. He also expressed his highly concern and earnest expectation on the preparation of the two projects, liquid glass and fire alertor.

Mr. Huang Shoulong, on behalf of Cangnan government, first expressed his gratitude to Mr. Gao for his warm speech, then explained his purposes of this trip, first, to deliever Cangnan government’s sincere appreciation to Mr. Gao and Mr. Li of DEVNET Pavilion for bridging Cangnan with World Expo projects; Second, to show their concern on the success of liquid glass project, which would definitely bring an economy boom to Cangnan; Third, to express their wish of DEVNET Pavilion sending professional to cotact with Cangnan for this project, meanwhile, they informed that a special project development team was set up, with Mr. Huang as team leader, and an area of over thousands acres has been mapped out for this project.

In addition, Mr. Huang introduced Cangnan county’s advantages on its customs, geographical structure, energy and resources, policy and regulations with great interest, hoping that more project information of World Expo would be introduced to Cangnan. He firmly believe Cangnan’s capacity and advantage would guarantee success of those projects.

Hearing Mr. Huang’s introduction, Mr. Gao again recommended several medical-related projects of World Expo, including anti-virus and anti-infection gloves and footwears, sealed virus-killing masks made according to different facial forms, fast and efficient paste for artery hemostasis, etc. Mr. Gao wished Cangnan government research and set up these projects according to local medical facility situation. Nevertheless, Mr. Gao emphasised that certain standards should be set in order that this technology would be more efficient and precise and develop in a faster and safer way. Moreover, he expressed his hope for the small and medium-sized enterprises of Cangnan would make appropriate adjustment in inner mechnisam so as to take full advantage of World Expo.

After the meeting, Cangnan government leaders visited World Expo area with guidance of Mr. Li Shien.

Thereafter a merry and friendly banquet was held, during which both parties felt satisfied with this meeting and looked forward to further cooperation in the future.
