On August 22nd 2010 Devnet Pavilion hosted a commemorative event for the 106th Birthday Anniversary of Deng Xiaoping, the Small Great Helmsman. Devnet Pavilion was the only other Pavilion, apart from that of China, to obtain authorization for this occurrence. The event was organized by Devnet Association and Devnet Pavilion and saw the participation of Devnet representatives: keynote speaker Mr. Daniel Barrios, Director General of Devnet, and Mr. Gao Guoqiang, Director General of Devnet China. |

On August 21st 2010 Devnet Pavilion and Shanghai Landscape Design Committee of Garden Green Industry Association organized a Forum by the title An Encounter Between Two Cultures. The event was hosted at the Longtong Lucky Plaza Hotel and saw the participation of Mr. Roberto Mulieri, President of Argentinean Landscape Network (Red Argentina del Paisaje), Mr. Guo Qiang, President of Shanghai Landscape Design Committee, alongside many personalities from different sectors of Landscape Design, including Universities, Associations and Research Institutes. |

On August 18th 2010 Devnet Pavilion hosted a Forum on Environmental Protection, organized by Devnet Association, Devnet Pavilion and Jiangsu Chenguang Paiting Co., with the support of Xinhua Agency, Peking University and Hxzg.net (Network for a harmonious China). Keynote speakers, special guests and participants included Mr. Daniel Barrios, Director General of Devnet and Mr. Gao Guoqiang, Director General of Devnet China, alongside with leaders of China’s Central and Provincial Governments: Mr. Wang Gungtao, former Minister of Construction, Mr. Liu Ji, Special Officer of the State Council, and Mr. Ren Yuling, Counselor of the State Council. The Forum was also attended by foreign ambassadors to China and local entrepreneurs. |

In honor to the victims of Zhouqu, the Government of the People's Republic of China has declared the 15th of August as National Mourning Day. Devnet Pavilion, whose theme is “City Relief and Harmonious Life”, has organized a commemorative event to take place the same day, to pay tribute to the victims of Zhouqu, alongside raising money to support post-disaster relief. |

A forum was held on July 7th and 8th to discuss Chinese Ink Stone Culture. The event was organized by DEVNET Pavilion, the first day of the forum was held at the Intercontinenal Hotel, while the following one was held at DEVNET Pavilion and included participation of the following persons: Mr. Guo Haitang, President of the China Association of Four Treasures of the Study, Mr. Yan Jiaxian, researcher of Ancient Ink-stones, Mr. Cai Hongru, researcher of Tianjin Meuseum, Mr. Liu Yanliang, connoisseur of Duan ink slab, Lin Tao, connoisseur of Chengni ink slab, Mr. Hu Zhongtai, connoisseur of She ink slab, Mr. Jian Shupu, researcher of Shandong ink slab. The event was presented by MC Zhang Hongmin, famous anchorman of CCTV News Broadcast, China's most prestigious television channel. |

The Expo Bureau has announced, after a first partial evaluation, that the DEVNET Pavilion has obtained a rating of 3 stars (out of 5) within the Shanghai 2010 World Expo. Evaluation is based on different aspects of the pavilion and includes: number of tourists visiting the pavilion each day; exhibition content, organized activities and visitors’ comments. |
